Cystic Fibrosis Ireland (CFI) aim to have the largest charity contingent in the 2016 Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon by recruiting over 1,000 women to take up the 10km challenge as part of their One in 1,000 Campaign.

The One in 1,000 Campaign was established in 2010 by Zoe Woodward, a mother of two girls with cystic fibrosis who recognised the vital need for improved services for people with CF. The idea behind the Campaign is that one woman recruits 10 more to join her and take part in the Mini Marathon. Those 10 then each recruit 10 more women making 100 participants and finally those 100 each recruit 10 more making 1,000 participants!

Fundraising is a vital source of income for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland and this year Cystic Fibrosis Ireland are looking to raise €100,000 from the One in 1,000 Campaign to help them to continue to provide support and services to people with cystic fibrosis in Ireland.

How can you get involved?

There is a great community spirit and we want you to be a part this. Each individual participant matters and we fully appreciate every individual’s contribution as part of the 1 in 1000 team. Your support, participation and funds raised can help improve the quality of life for people with CF in Ireland.
