The Carney Sligo Ladies Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon Team started in 1996 when two of the original team members raised funds for a local child with a disability. We got such a buzz from completing our first Women’s Mini Marathon and especially from the fun atmosphere on the day that we asked a few more people to get involved the following year. And thus began over 20 years of fundraising and competing in the Women’s Mini Marathon.
