The final countdown is well and truly on. We hope you are as excited as we are for the June bank holiday weekend and the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon – it’s shaping up to be one of the best to date.
To make the weekend even easier and more enjoyable for you, Nissan have a few things going on over the course of the weekend that you might enjoy. As we have mentioned in previous Herald coverage, we are running a Courtesy Car service on the day and you can get to and from the race in any one of our award winning vehicles. You can get collected and dropped into the race from Heuston Station or Connolly Station or simply by flagging one down. Remember all you need is a race number to jump in and give your legs a rest before big race.
Also, to make things even more enjoyable, using the #NissanFreeLift, the best selfies taken in a courtesy car on Monday June 6th, will win a €100 donation on their behalf to their chosen charity – so bring your selfie stick and make sure you’re in it, to win it.
As well as this, after you cross the finish line, remember to look out for the Nissan podium at which you can get your photo taken and have a race day memento. All the photos will be posted to the Nissan Ireland Facebook page in chronological order to find with ease. Simply tag and share with pride to show your completion of the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon.
And don’t forget, if you are collecting your race number from Barlo Kilkenny or the RDS Simmonscourt, you have the chance to leave a “note on our Nissan Note” – be it a best of luck message, a motivational quote or you want to channel your inner artist, we’ll leave it up to you. It’s not every day you’re encourage to write, draw or scribble on a car!
