6 Reasons why you could run for Charity

Raises Vital Money for Your Charity

Running events are a great vehicle to raise money for your charity. Your efforts can make a HUGE difference to a charity. It might sound cliché but every euro counts – each cent you raise means a massive amount to each charity. No amount is too little to support the important work these charities do on a daily basis.

It gives you a reason to get out there and train!

When you commit to raising money for a charity it gives you an extra motivation towards training for the event. When the weather is not great or you are feeling a bit tired, knowing that you are going to be competing in the event for charity can help give you that extra push to get out there and train, even in the rain!

Achievement of a Personal Goal

Whether it is raising money or fulfilling a personal goal for completion of the event, charities can offer great support to ensure that you stay on track. They will support you with reminders of the event and provide you with the supportive motivation to achieve your goal.

It is open to everyone!

This is a unique event that truly is open to every fitness level. When raising money you can walk, jog or run the event. You can take it at your own pace and no age or speed is a barrier!

It’s a good way to hang out with friends!

With life getting very busy it is a perfect excuse to meet up with friends. Whether fundraising for the same charity or different charities it is a great excuse to sign up with friends, family or colleagues from work. It is a great reason to get out for a chat and a catch up. You can even give your group a funky name!

Being part of something bigger than ourselves

There is an amazing buzz on the day of the event with women wearing the coloured t-shirts of their chosen charities. There is a great atmosphere of camaraderie and a feel good factor that you are doing something both for yourself and other people at the same time. It can help put a spring in your step!
