Inspirational Lisa Takes On Ms At The Women's Mini Marathon

Lisa Richardson (33) from Finglas was diagnosed with MS on her 27th birthday.  She had a tough time with her illness, and after experiencing a relapse, where she was unable to walk, talk or move her limbs, she came through it with the support of her family, hospital and MS Ireland.  Lisa first took part in the Mini Marathon in 2013 to prove to herself that she could do it, and has done it every year since.

Lisa had a very unexpected surprise at the finish line of last year’s Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon.  Waiting for her at the finish line was her boyfriend of 11 years, Jonathan Rock, who went down on one knee and proposed to her, surrounded by members of her family holding up “Lisa Will You Marry Me” signs.  She said Yes!
