County Champion: Eva Halton

Meet our amazing County Champion: Eva from Drogheda! Eva will be representing Louth at this year's Vhi Women's Mini Marathon! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช

โ€œHi there! My name is Eva Halton, and I want to share my story with you. Back in 2008, I acquired a brain injury due to a road traffic accident. It was a tough time for me, but with the help of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland and their amazing staff, I was able to overcome my challenges and start my journey towards recovery.

I'm originally from Cavan, but I now consider Drogheda my home. Since 2017, I have been living in the Lisrath Residential service, where the staff have been exceptional in supporting me with my everyday needs.

I'm really excited to participate in the Vhi Women's Mini Marathon in June, along with some staff members from my service. Walking is one of my favourite pastimes, and I love taking advantage of the stunning scenery in county Louth.

I feel honoured to represent my county in this event and support an organisation that has helped not only me but many others across the country.  I love to give my time to train and complete the walk. Join me on this journey and let's make it a day to remember!โ€

We're so excited to have you on our team Eva! ๐Ÿ’–
