County Champion: Sharon Felton

Meet our amazing County Champion: Sharon Felton from Greystones, Co. Wicklow. 

Sharon will be representing Wicklow at this year's Vhi Women's Mini Marathon! 💪🏃‍♀️🇮🇪 

“This year, I have the incredible opportunity to represent my beloved county of Co Wicklow in the Vhi Women's Mini Marathon, and I am thrilled! I am participating with a group of ladies to support Aoibheann's Pink Tie, a cause that is very close to my heart. 

I am a passionate community member who loves to give back. I have organised and participated in numerous events that support local charities, including fundraising for various causes and putting together a touching Remembrance evening in my town of Greystones. This event brought together people to remember their loved ones who have passed away, including my own parents. It was a beautiful night with live music, poems, and a sea of tea lights illuminating the park. We even planted crocuses in honour of our loved ones. 

But my contributions to the community don't stop there. I was voted a community hero by the wonderful people of Greystones, an honour bestowed upon me by Supervalu Charlesland. With my deep love for my town and my passion for the Vhi  Women's Mini Marathon, it would be an absolute honour to represent Co. Wicklow this year.”
